my first fabric Zentangle
Thought I would try a Zentangle in fabric.
I drew the zentangle on cotton with a Micron pen 05
then I embroidered the face and a few lines on the checkerboard. Then fused it onto
a pieced, fm stitched background , satin stitched around the edges and applied the whole
thing to a canvas wrapped frame.
This was all a first attempt at the possibility of making Zentangles on fabric. Think I might
try a few more.

Very interesting. What is a Zentangle?
ReplyDeleteGreat fabric zentangle. They are fun to do!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I like your color choices.
ReplyDeleteVerna,
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to see your newest work! I love the direction you are going with your Zentangles - I took a class from Sherry Rogers Harrison at NQA in June. You should take a look at her work to see some extreme examples (although she calls her works "Inklique" rather than Zentangles). Enjoy that beautiful PEI fall!

Very interesting and a whole new term to me. What does Zentangle mean?
ReplyDeleteNot sure what a Zentangle is, but it sure looks good.
ReplyDeleteI love your Zentangle creations! I just spent about 30 minutes on their site and looking at other pictures. I will have to get a kit. :o)
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful! I'll have to look into Zentangles some more ... are they a special kind of doodling?
ReplyDeleteI like this done on fabric! The background works great with the Zentangle.
ReplyDeleteI love your zentangles, they open up a whole new world of creativity. I like the look on fabric as well. I can't wait to see more!
