"Changing Winds" April TIF challenge

This months challenge on how we feel about change was another thought provoker.
When I look back I realize that I was always excited about change, moving to different places,
learning new things, meeting new people. Watching our children growing and becoming wonderful men and women , though now I look back and remember their childhood and feel rather lonely. but thats life. I Loved it when we travelled in our little camper from
coast to coast in Canada and the US. Always hoping to see some fabric shops or quilt shows along
the way. I remember one time we went to Paducah during the big quilt week. I was amazed
and never thought that one of my quilts would be there in the future with "Canada Uncovered".
So now when change sometimes isnt so great due to ageing I can look back at all the great times
we had. So change is part of life. we might as well accept it.
This piece was monoprinted and then hand embroidered. I hadnt intended it for this challenge
but the more I worked the more it reminded me of a windy day and how the wind makes the
grasses blow one way and another, which I guess is how our lives are and one never knows
what is around the corner for us, which is probably just as well .
